Butler Does it in Quick 32

Rickey Butler Jr. won an FBR Shop Quick 32 all-7 second final when Jay Windsor redlit by a scant .001. “We got our clocks cleaned on Saturday in the Pro ET race, but luckily we managed to make up for it a little bit on Sunday,” said Windsor. “The bike was inconsistent Saturday, running several hundredths off every pass, but fortunately we discovered the problem just before the qualifying pass Sunday morning. The nitrous pressure pro failed AGAIN for the hundredth time! Sooooo, we threw it in the trash and ran it old school, monitoring the pressure manually from round to round. After that the bike was back to being as consistent as it ever was.”

Consistent indeed, but there was that damn -.001 redlight that kept Windsor from the winners circle. “The first thing I have to say is hats off to Jason Miller and the whole MIR staff for running another flawless weekend of racing,” continued Windsor. “The place was packed to the gills and still went off like clockwork—amazing! Sharon and I had a great time and even though we came up short in the finals we feel competitive and ready for next race at The Rock.

“I would like to thank my wife/crew Sharon, Mike Durham of Durham Racing, your #1 source of Old School Kawasaki parts, and Marion Ford of the FBR Shop for supporting the Quick 32 program even in these uncertain economic times.”
